Program Nominations


Your nominations of potential Important Bird Areas is important to the IBA program. Do you know of an area that is used by birds and that you think should be protected?

1. Read Guidelines for IBA Selection:

3. Contact Scott Wilbor, (520) 622-2230, Arizona IBA Coordinator, to discuss whether your site has already been nominated.

list of currently identified and potential future Arizona IBAs.)

4. Print, fill out, and mail in the nomination form.

a.  Full Nomination Form: If you have, or can compile, specific data on birds using the site, download this form:

b.  Quick ID Nomination Form: If you do not have bird data but can describe the site and why you think it is an Important Bird Area, use the "Quick ID" nomination form:
