Something important for you to support - our request is simple
Birdathon is about birding, having fun, and fundraising. This year fundraising will be focused on our Important Bird Areas (IBA) program (which combines conservation and education on critical bird habitats) and our broader Education program!

The IBA program is part of the global effort to identify, protect and manage the most important sites for birds and we have three very specific needs for help in this program. 1.Two new backcountry surveys will make up for our lack of knowledge of populations of birds of concern in the Galiuro and Patagonia Mountains. 2.Funds to initiate an outreach program to local residents to help them with stewardship and conservation of lands along the Lower San Pedro River IBA. 3.Funding for a Gray Hawk and kingbird nest inventory between San Manuel and Mammoth.

Our Education Program is in need of significant support this year, and we highlight three areas for your consideration: 1.Tucson Audubon's Citizen Stewardship program. 2.Tucson Audubon's Family Institutes. 3.Tucson Audubon's work through our schools and libraries.
