Team Description: “The Add Hawk Committee” (sic) was formed in an unexpected tern in 2007…We plan to investigate and tabulate bird sightings in and around Southeast Arizona and present our wrendition at the Birdathon Brunch without grousing... The goal of the committee is confirm, with its own eyes and ears, the presence of the many avian species and add them into a coherent and well-organized list complete with twenty-seven 8x10 color glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph explaining each one on the back…
Self-described “Bird Nerds”, the Committee members are driven, relentless, thorough, somewhat dorky and a little auk-ward… Committee members, in no particular order, are: Matt Brooks, a.k.a. Alaskan Eagle-eye, Aleck MacKinnon, a.k.a. Smart Aleck Owl (the wise old owls had already formed a team…), Vivian MacKinnon, a.k.a. Poultry in Motion, and Peter Collins, who finds the whole thing very Emu-zing…They will not stop until the last hawk is added!
