Team Description: Peggy started doing Birdathon in 1995, when, as a new board member, she agreed to co-chair the event—it was one of the most successful fundraisers in Tucson Audubon history to that time! That year weekly birding buddies Peggy, Melody Kehl, and Diane Wright formed the Fly-by-nights and counted 100 birds in 20 hours.

Over the years other birding friends joined in (Shirley Spitler, Barbara Minker, Julie Gordon became regulars) and we changed our name to the Good Old Birds. Our counts have continued in the 100-species range while we've reduced our field time a bit. We expect to count 100 again this year and hope you will want to support our effort to raise funds for TAS programs. Thanks, Peggy, Julie, Kathleen, et. al.
